Soak up in the local lifestyle and discover places that few tourists have ever seen on this Hanoi Vespa Tour
You will be picked up at your hotel in the Hanoi center by our professional guide and be ready to soak up the city's history & culture as you visit some iconic and out of the way places.
The adventure by Vespa begins as all good tours should, by sampling the authentic local café culture in the heart of the Old Quarter, then darting through the busy streets to explore the famous French colonial style St. Joseph's Cathedral.
Then set off for an intimate ride through narrow streets to the world famous Hanoi railway tracks, where you'll see how the locals live and work, just centimetres from the tracks in tall picturesque houses.
Visit Hanoi local houses
Continue to ride on your comfortable vintage Vespa to the city's other highlights such as Hanoi Flag Tower, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, President Palace etc. Drive to Huu Tiep Lake and explore the grounds of a 400-year-old temple. It's then a short walk through traditional local market streets to see the B52 crash site at the lake. This US bomber was shot down during the 1972 bombing raids of Hanoi, a poignant reminder of Vietnam’s recent history. It's back on the Vespas for a fun ride to the Ngoc Ha Market and a stroll around this vast, bustling marketplace taking in the vibrant atmosphere that typifies Hanoi.
Move to the Long Bien Bridge, a magnificent structure built over a hundred years ago which spans the Red River and connects the Hoan Kiem and Long Bien Districts, and provides shelter to locals living on floating homes. Only motorbikes & bicycles can traverse and this is truly an experience off the beaten track, so off you go!
Long Bien Bridge - only motorcycles and bikes can go through
Next ride takes you along the riverside as you zoom past the ancient dyke wall, beautifully decorated with mosaic artwork to your final destination. Head to a kumquat farm, located in a scenic agricultural oasis in the city. Here is a chance to meet another colourful character. From the final stop, ride back at your hotel and the adventure concludes.
